Learn about next steps and schedule an evaluation session, if warranted
Your child will have the opportunity to meet the clinician and engage in a brief virtual speech activity to ensure that teletherapy is a good fit for them

Evaluation
If further testing warranted, your clinician will schedule an evaluation session with you in order to formally assess your child’s speech/language skills. The evaluation will be conducted via Zoom, our HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform.
Results of testing will:
Identify your child’s communication strengths and weaknesses compared to same-age peers
Determine whether speech therapy is warranted
Help guide your child’s treatment plan and speech therapy goals

Treatment
If your child qualifies for services based on evaluation results, your clinician will work with you to confirm a speech therapy schedule, to be implemented until your child is no longer demonstrating a need for services.

Typically scheduled at 30-45 minutes in length, 1-2x per week
Individualized, to include activities tailored to your child's specific needs
Followed up with a home exercise program provided to promote progress and carryover of target skills outside of speech sessions

Janie Lee, M.A., CCC-SLP
Janie Lee is a nationally certified, licensed speech-language pathologist with over ten years of experience providing diagnostic and therapeutic speech therapy services to children ages birth to 18 years with speech sound, language, and fluency disorders.Janie earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!), where she gained comprehensive graduate clinical training and experience working with diverse pediatric and adult placements, ranging from early intervention programs to medical and adult rehabilitation settings.She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is state-licensed in North Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, Utah, and Montana.
Before founding Glow Up Speech Therapy in 2025, Janie spent over a decade serving children and teens in both school-based and private practice settings. For the past five years, she has specialized in delivering high-quality virtual speech therapy, helping children and teens make meaningful progress from the comfort and convenience of their schools and/or homes.Janie is experienced in working with students in the general education, special education, and specialized support programs for children with Autism, learning differences, and behavioral needs, as well as with children with developmental, genetic, and medically complex conditions. Her experience includes conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and collaborating closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary professionals to best serve her students and patients across settings.In her practice, Janie combines clinical expertise with a compassionate, patient-centered, neurodiversity-affirming approach, as she is dedicated to helping each patient build effective communication skills that enhance participation, confidence, and quality of life.No matter the setting or service model, her goal has remained consistent: to create therapy experiences that are evidence-based and empowering, helping each client build confidence in communicating with greater ease and joy.

Have insurance? You may be able to get reimbursed! At your request, we will provide a detailed superbill after each session that you can submit to your insurance provider or use with your FSA/HSA account. Many clients can receive partial or full reimbursement, depending on their coverage.
